  1. What do you think of this painting? Do you like it? I think that this painting really interesting and I think that it looks so familiar. Yes I do like this painting it is really interesting.
  2. If you could buy it and give it to someone, who would you choose? If I would buy this I would give it to my papa.

  1. Well well well, Miss Makayla. You have finally taken a step into my world. The world of art!

Did you know that Kandinsky, the guy that painted this piece, was a pioneer for the abstract art movement? Do you think you could find out a few points for me about what abstract art is about? It's quite interesting, and I think you'll find it interesting too.

I really like the picture you've chosen. I like how the colours he uses are so vivid and unreal. I like that is just a picture about what he felt like painting - a bunch of shapes, flat, and not attached to anything recognisable. In a way, to me this painting is an expression of joy, which is stacked into a pile on the floor and still looking out for more fun. It looks like an experiment.

This is how some artists and art critics talk. The best thing about art is that you can never be wrong with how you interpret it. I could just as easily have said "I see Kandinsky is experimenting with his lunch and a child playing with toys at the table. I see the colour is frustrating and confusing, yet organised. It is a metaphor for how life really is: mosltly flat and a disorganised mess" and I still wouldn't be wrong because I am just stating how I see it. I could say "I like it because it has pretty colours and shapes, and I think it would go well on my empty wall". And I would still be right! In fact, artists like these people a lot because they are the ones that usually buy art! haha!

I hope that wasn't too weird for you. Art is an interesting subject. I'd still like to hear 3 things you find out about abstract art.

    Good luck!
