My netball game

Yesterday I played netball at the AMI courts.  We played  against Remuera they played well. We played very well also.

I liked how they played but they were even better than us  because we weren't  even good at defending but it  was still good. My group lost  but our team  still had fun bet we remembered  that  it's  not about winning  it's  about having fun but my coach wanted to win.

The switch

Once  there was a solitary man who was named Mr Brown. Strolling along Mr Brown thought  to himself, “ Hmmm that was a scrumptious lunch.”  Noticing that he had a bit of crumbs on his tie  he licked his fingers and with a swoosh wiped it off.

Unexpectedly a box came out of nowhere and whacked Mr Brown on his  head. “ OUCH!!” he said with  a furious face. In anger he kicked the box  back to where it came from.

With curiosity Mr Brown glanced around. He saw a tower of boxes and a grey shiny box. He tried to push it but it wouldn’t budge.  He climbed  up the tower of boxes balancing  precariously. Leaping off the towering boxes he  tried to jump on the grey box but he missed. As he was on the ground he noticed there was a little red button underneath Mr Brown said “ Oh what is this button going to do?”

He thought, “ Should I press it?” So he reached out, hesitated, then he threw  away caution away and pressed the button.

There was a strange whirring. The grey box spun rapidly then suddenly Mr Brown’s tie got sucked into it. Desperately he tried to take his tie out but it ripped.

But then the box maker sucked in the whole of Mr Brown. Mr Brown had turned into a box. end of story!!!

Marshmallows

On a cloudy starless night there was a solitary boy roasting marshmallows on a sizzling fire. You could hear the lake gently lapping on the shore. He was in the forest but in a spot that  had trees surrounding him.

Suddenly there was big green monster that came quietly walking out of the lake, like no one was around. Then suddenly Jimmy  turned around and saw the monster and he freaked out.

Trying to defend himself Jimmy waved his marshmallow on a stick around like a sword to protect himself. but then the monster gobbled up the marshmallow. The monster transformed  into a monster-puppy. The monster performed tricks so he would get more marshmallows.

When Jimmy put his hand in the bag and realised that there was only one more and he was like oh no and he gulped. Cautiously Jimmy slowly held out his hand and then the monster slurped the marshmallow off. The monster nearly gobbled up Jimmy's whole arm.

Waiting expectantly the monster looked at Jimmy. Jimmy was like oh no what’s going to happen then the monster reverted back into a scary monster because Jimmy had run out of marshmallows.

The monster chased Jimmy. In a panic Jimmy ran away but suddenly Jimmy stumbled and he thought that the monster was going to eat him. But then Jimmy found his pillow he tried to protect himself. The big green monster imagined that he was in marshmallow heaven because Jimmy gave the monster a pillow and the monster thought that it was a massive marshmallow.

Anzac parade

At the dawn parade there were thousands of people at the Auckland museum. While everyone stood still the old soldiers came marching through with their poppies and medals. The dawn service was for old soldiers that fought for us.It was before the rising of the sun came up.

The Mayor of Auckland recited a poem while the thousands of people in the crowd listened respectfully in remembrance. Next the mayor laid a wreath.

There was an old man that played the bugle and the song was called the last post.  Thousands of people stood silently while dawn was breaking.

The ANZAC parade was held on the 25th of April ANZAC day. It was an important day to remember the people their lives for our freedom
