Holiday Update 7 | Going Bowling with my auntie

Today I went to the city with my auntie, we went to go bowling at "The Lanes". When we were at bowling we bought a drink and some fries. And after bowling we went and got some McDonalds and ate by the waterfront. Once we had finished eating we went to Te Papa. We saw a lot of of exhibitions like Gallipoli: The scale of our war. We also went inside the earthquake house, we saw the collosal squid and more. After that we went to Frank Kitts park, and after that we waited for our bus and went home.

 

I watched Transformers the last knight

For this task what I have done is I have written a story about how I watched the latest movie of the Transformers. Once I had completed this story I reread it to see if I could improve it or edit it. Once I had done my story I posted it on my blog with a title, Task Description and labels.

WLJ Bonus Activity Day 4

I think that fisherman should be banned from fishing at Farewell Spit. I think this because they have been killing our native hector's dolphins and every year there's been hectors dolphins getting killed. I think that that is not good because the hector's dolphin's are native and if they are getting killed every year then soon in the future they will be extincted.

WLJ Activity 2 Day 4

I think that Whale rider was a excellent movie, so I rate this a 5. I rate this a 5 because I really liked how the movie was flowing. I also liked what the movie was about and how they acted out very good in their parts. I also think that this movie was excellent because the way the movie was written to be because it cam out really great.

WLJ Activity 1 Day 4

What the people of Picton had to do was, they had to drape drape t-shirts, towels and sarongs over the beached whales. They also had to try and use pots,bowls and more to carry water and drape it over the beached whales. There were also two people who had noticed it at first and that was a lady and a German tourist, the German tourist noticed it and rang the department of conversations then the news reporters.

WLJ Activity 2 Day 3

I think that New Zealand should be predator free. I think this because innocent farmers have to pay about $35 million dollars a year because of the possum damage. I also think that possums should go back to their natural home where they belong so that they don't cause trouble here in New Zealand. I also think that they shouldn't be in New Zealand because they have been causing a lot of trouble so if they are gone and New Zealand is predator free then there won't be any predator trouble for the government to fix.

WLJ Activity 1 Day 3

The animal to adopt that I have chosen is a Kea. A Kea is a apart of the family Strigopidae, it's scientific name is Nestor notabilis. It is found in forested and alpine regions of the South Island of the New Zealand. They are about 48cm (19 in) long. Most of the Kea is olive-green with a brilliant orange under it's wings. It has large, narrow and curved grey-brown upper beak, and did you know the Kea is the worlds only alpine parrot. The Kea's omnivorous diet includes carrion, but it mostly includes roots, leaves, berries, nectar and insects.

The Kea nests in burrows or crevices among the roots of the tree. I have chosen the Kea because they are mostly known for their intelligence and curiosity, both vital to their survival in a harsh mountain environment. Like did you know that the Kea can solve logical puzzles such as pushing and pulling things in a certain order to get to food, and will work together to archive a certain objective.

Riddles & Games

This Presentation is a little display of games that I made using inspiration off my friend Amelia. It has a topic of 8 cards that relate to one topic (Riddles). Then The other topic which is Games has 8 cards as well.

DIY Flex-tangle

Today at home I made a flex-tangle. A flex-tangle is paper toy that is very satisfying, what you have to do is just move the toy in a circle motion. The materials that we used was a flex-tangle template, scissors, coloring pens or pencils and glue.

Then we just decorated the spots that need decorating. Then once we had decorated it we had to cut around the lines. I was so excited to make this satisfying toy because it was going to be fun to play with.

Once we had colored and cut the template, we had to fold along the other lines. Then once we had folded all the creases we then had to glue along the glue points. Then we had to put the right pieces onto the glue points. When It was done then we started to play with it and it was so satisfying.

Today was so fun

Once everyone’s ice cream was done Mrs Stickland told all the groups to take two biscuits per person in each group, then she told us to scoop some of the ice cream on the biscuit like a ice cream sandwich. Then we got to taste it…. Oh my gosh it was so nice.

First netball game for 2017

Today the 9th of May was my first netball game for 2017 with my netball team, The Stingrays. We played against Dio Topaz, they were tall and quite hard but I tried my best to do my position great.

10th day of holidays holiday update 2

After I finished my feed I went to Kmart to get me some clothes and more. Then I went back to my cousins and just sat with them so our food can digest. After that we went back to Timezone to finish off our hour. Then once our hour was done I went home with my mum, aunty and uncle. I had so much fun spending time with my cousins.

2nd day of holidays

As you know it is the 2nd day of school holidays for term 1. Yesterday was good Friday, on good Friday I went out with 2 of my close friends. We went to the movies in Sylvia Park to watch The Fate of the Furious. It was so awesome I thought it was a good action movie. We got popcorn and a frozen drink/slushie. Our movie started at 3:30pm, we got there at 2:50pm just so that we could get our snacks and tickets. Once it hit 3:30pm we were there standing in the line so we could show the lady our tickets. Once we got in I was so excited to see the movie.

Once the movie started I got so excited I nearly dropped my popcorn. My favourite bit about the movie is when Dom Toretto was bad but then he turned good, I liked that bit because he said that he loves his family but he turned bad to keep them safe so he turned bad then back to good again just to keep his family safe. My less favourite part was when he turned bad because then he betrayed his number 1 priority, his family.

After the movie we left and went home, Once we got home we got goodie bags filled with Easter eggs and lollies in it. I was so happy that we got a treat, because it's Easter. Once we got our goodie bags from our parents I started eating them straight away but luckily there was a lot in the bags so I still got a lot left. Plus I still got got my Easter eggs from my family.

Te Taiao o Tamaki

This years topic at school is Te Taiao O Tamaki, so that means we will be focusing on that phrase this whole year. Te Taiao O Tamaki means The environment of Tamaki in english. At school because Te Taiao O Tamaki means The environment of Tamaki in my class we been learning about native trees, native birds and also native insects. When we learnt about native trees, we also learnt about endemic, native and introduced.And and we learnt about native insects we also learnt some birds I've ever seen before.

I would like to visit Mexico. I would like to visit Mexico because I love the food there, like burritos, tacos and nachos. I would also like to go to Mexico because I think that their resorts looks like so much fun that I want to go there.
