Today @ Tech we made Pizza. This week my partner was Chastyti. Our Pizza had many toppings on it. Those ingredients were tomato sauce, cheese, ham, capsicum, tomato, red onion and Pizza bread. First we diced all the vegetables and fruit (pineapple,
tomatoes, capsicum and the red onion) as well as the ham. After that we spread the tomato sauce around the base of the pizza, then added all the toppings onto the pizza. After we added all our toppings we put our pizza in the oven for 15 mins. After that we took it out of the oven. After a few minutes of cooling down the pizza was ready to eat.

Tech @ Tamaki // Curry Chicken
Today at tech we made Curry Chicken. I cooked alongside Chastyti. The steps we follow were:
- Dice up 1 chicken breast and 1 onion
- peel and cut 5 potatoes and boil in to cups of water
- Cook the onion until soft, then add spices along with the diced up chicken
- when the chicken was cooked we then added the vegetables and potatoes
After we combined all the ingredients and cooked them we let them simmer for a while. After that we served our food into bowls, then we had to clean our mess and get ready to eat.

Tech @ Tamaki // Cooking - Fettuccine
The Yr 8's went to Tech @ Tamaki College. When we went there we found out we were making Fettuccine. We split off into up partners and started our cooking. The first step was to put our pasta into a pot of water and let it cook. After that we had to dice up our onions and add it to our mince. We then had to cook our mince till it was ready. After that we had to peel our zucchini to add into our cooked mince. We then had to toss our zucchini around in our mince. After that we had to drain our pasta and add it into our mince. We then had to toss around the ingredients in our pan. We then received the cream for our pasta, we added our pasta in and mixed it all around. Once it was all combined we had to add some Mozzarella cheese. We then mixed it around till the cheese was melted. Then After that we had our finished product.
After that we ate our food. The Fettuccine was so delicious, it was nice and salty and the cheese made it even better. Once we finished eating we started cleaning our mess. We had a lot left so I ended up taking some food back with me back to school for lunch.

Cheek Cells
Today Room 4 were taking a look at Cheek Cells. We wanted to see what our cheek cells look like under the microscope. We worked in groups of three and were given the task to look at our cheek cells. We were taught how to gather our cheek cells and how to create a slide.
Hypothesis: What does our Cheek Cells look like under the microscope?
Equipment:
Hypothesis: What does our Cheek Cells look like under the microscope?
Equipment:
- Popsicle stick
- Slide
- Sodium Chloride
- Methylene blue (Stain)
Method:
- The first thing was one of our group members had to take the Popsicle stick and swab it gently in their mouth.
- Then they had to transfer the cells onto the slide.
- After that we had to add a drop of Sodium Chloride to our slide.
- Then we had to add a drop of Stain to drop of Sodium Chloride.
Observation:
When we looked at the cells the first time is was on the lowest magnification. As I saw it it was really small, and all I saw were small dots and little lines.
When we looked the second time the magnification was at the second level. I looked into the lenses and I saw the cells. They looked really different to how it looked the first time. It looked like autumn leaves, that had many dots around it.
Lastly, it looked like a piece of land on a map. It was like a shape of a country with dots all around it. But the shape looked more like a zig zaggy country.

The History of K-Pop
K-Pop is a genre of music that is loved by many around the world. K-Pop is viewed in many ways, as they have a variety of artists, producers and entertainments. There are many different artists and groups in K-Pop. For example: BTS, EXO, GOT7, Stray Kids, Astro, Blackpink, K.A.R.D etc. Although K-Pop is a type of music it isn't like any traditional korean folk song, it is very upbeat, hyped up etc.
K-Pop was once listened to back in the days, but sadly it was banned by their Dictator. Slowly it was bought back. But they were only allowed to sing about certain topics. Then later a man had the idea to create a music academy which was aimed to create new K-Pop groups. These academies controlled everything about their artists. After that the Korean government then realized that the idea of K-Pop was a good opportunity to attract tourism and to become better known. They then spent heaps of money to build more stadiums to support the industry.

My Holiday - Waka Ama Competition
During the holidays I travelled to Sunshine Coast, Australia for a Waka Ama Competition. The name of competition was, Trans Tasman Gubbi Gubbi 2019. I went there to paddle for Manu Wairere, my team in the Manukau club. I had such a great time there. I made many memories that I will cherish and made many new bonds. As we were there I raced in many races (U12 12man 250mts sprints, U12 6man 250mts sprints, U12 6man 500mts turns, U14 6man 4k long distance, U12 oc1 250mts sprints), and placed on the podium multiple times. We were there for ten days. During those ten days was some of the best days of my life, and I can't wait to experience it again next time.
